Curriculum & Evaluation

Strengthen Instruction. Strengthen Leadership. Strengthen Results.

From principal evaluation coaching to curriculum leadership and superintendent evaluations, our experienced educators provide practical, Indiana-specific support to help districts strengthen instructional leadership, ensure meaningful evaluation practices, and keep curriculum and teaching aligned to district goals.

Instructional Leadership and Evaluation Coaching

Build Evaluators Who Score Consistently and Coach Effectively

When administrators interpret the same rubric differently, teachers feel it. This ten month partnership builds inter-rater reliability across your leadership team. Months one and two establish shared understanding of rubric indicators and calibrate practice. Months three through five define clear, observable look fors across grade levels and content areas. Months six through eight put the work into practice through observations, pre and post conferences, and checkpoint monitoring. Months nine and ten align evaluation data to professional learning and set the system up to sustain itself. You get consistent and equitable evaluation across all leaders, greater teacher trust in the process, and a system that develops instruction rather than simply producing ratings.

Part-Time Curriculum Director

Turn Your iLearn Data Into Instructional Decisions

If you want to dig deeper into iLearn results, strengthen instruction and assessment at Depth of Knowledge levels two and three, or simply get help accessing and interpreting your data, our consultants can review how your buildings are implementing their frameworks. Every engagement includes meetings with building and district administrators, teacher interviews at each grade level, non-evaluative classroom observations, a written and presented summary, and recommendations for immediate needs such as SIP refinement, lesson planning, and PLC use. Long range options include curriculum mapping, district wide professional development planning, PLC training, guided data analysis, and evaluation refinement. All services are delivered by Indiana educators and aligned to Indiana standards, and Title I and II, INSIG, small and rural school, and early childhood funds may apply.

Grant Writing and Management

Capture Every Grant Dollar Your District Has Earned

Most districts do not have the personnel to carry a grant cycle from application through closeout. With more than 40 years of experience, we can take all or part of that cycle off your plate: writing local, state, and federal grants both competitive and non-competitive, preparing pre-applications and amendments, consulting with non-publics on equitable share, organizing and maintaining compliance documents, completing required reports, supporting desktop and on site monitoring visits, and submitting cash requests and reimbursement forms. We begin by reviewing your previous grants and current processes, then build a timeline around what you actually need.

Educational Technology Audit

Find Out Whether Your Technology Initiative Is Working

Capital asset records drift over time as items are purchased, replaced, and retired. We review and amend your Detailed Capital Asset Listing for insignificant items and disposals, determine the useful life of assets, calculate the beginning year accumulated depreciation balance and current year depreciation amounts, and cross check audit period expenses so every qualifying purchase is captured and added. Technology assets are reviewed and amended separately to produce the amounts you need for reporting.

Athletic Audit

Answer Questions About Your Athletic Department With Data

When an athletic department takes too much of your time, is under fire for transparency or parental input, has to justify staffing or facility upgrades, or is fighting accusations of bias, opinion rarely settles the matter. Our veteran administrators survey your student body, staff, and parents while protecting anonymity, produce the results in formats your board and community can read at a glance, and follow with common sense recommendations.

Superintendent Evaluation Program

Evaluate Your Superintendent on Skills Everyone Agrees Matter

Too many superintendent evaluations come down to whether individual board members like the person being evaluated, often because the board and superintendent never agreed on what the skills actually mean. Our process presents a list of potential skills to both sides separately, works with each to narrow the list, then brings everyone together to reach consensus and sort the agreed skills into categories such as budget, curriculum, and leadership. The finished instrument is unique to your corporation, requires a written narrative for each category, and is used twice a year with a final written evaluation. Boards may also attach goals tied to a bonus. References from districts across Indiana are listed in the flyer.
