Dr. Joan Keller
Joan Keller is recently retired after 43 years in public and university education and administration. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Evansville, and a Master of Science degree, secondary and elementary administration certificates, an Education Specialist degree, and a Doctor of Education degree from Indiana University, Bloomington. Joan spent 23 years at Shoals Jr.-Sr. High School as a language arts and physical education teacher; 5 total years as a high school principal at Switzerland County High School and North Knox High School; 3 years as elementary principal at Shoals Elementary School; 11 total years as superintendent at North Knox School Corporation, North Spencer County School Corporation, Pike County School Corporation (interim), Shoals Community School Corporation, and Loogootee Community School Corporation; and 2 years as lecturer in Education Leadership at Indiana University Southeast. She lives in Shoals, Indiana, and has two grown sons and eight grandchildren.
