Tom Johnson spent 45 years in public education before retiring in 2019.  He spent 20 years as a teacher and coach and two years as elementary principal before moving into the Central Office where he served as either Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent for Finance.  His final stop was at Danville Community School Corporation in Hendricks County.  He was responsible for all aspects of the corporation’s finances as well as overseeing maintenance, food service, transportation, housekeeping and latch-key.   He also served as Danville’s interim Superintendent in 2014.
